These basses were conceived after having studied what was available in the marketplace for bass players who preferred the iconic Fender instrument style, but wanted something more individual, perhaps even hand built.

My goal was to take the best possible instrument refinements available and build them into this popular body style. I wanted them to be a pleasure to play, to sound incredible and to feel like a good "fit" for the player.

One significant thing I found was that most of these basses are bigger and heavier than I would personally like. To that end, I took the standard body size and reduced it a few percent. You wouldn't notice if you saw one being played, but as a player, you would feel it just a little more comfortable, a bietter fit.

I also reduced the scale length standard to 33". This also serves to create a closer fit with the player, and does not compromise the intergrity of the low B string on a 5-or 6 string instrument like this. For no extra charge your bass can be 34", I just found 33" to be a good compromise.

Beyond that - I am offering many customizable options so that these basses can be individualized further by the customer. We have some flexibility on the wood choices, both on the body top and headstock and on the fingerboard. There are also numerous inlay options, variations in the choice of pickup types, and also an upgrade to 4-band active electronics (which is amazing).
